Parlor Guitar
I love my little Parlor guitar. For such a tiny box, there is an incredible amount of musical expression, and a big sound described by players as open, airy, bright, and with good separation of tone. My favorite is any rosewood back and sides with a German top. I love the shape of my 12-fret parlor guitar. Many years after designing it on my kitchen table, I had a reason to explore the first-era Torres design. My Parlor shape was an exact match except for being 1/4 inch longer and rounder at the very bottom. Now I'm convinced my kitchen table tells me things.
All Wingert guitars include a neck customized for you, but my favorite Parlor neck is shaped to a subtle V shape, reminiscent of the vintage guitars after which it is fashioned, but very comfortable and easy to
play.

"After interviewing dozens of luthiers and playing hundreds of very high end guitars, I decided to have Kathy Wingert build my first custom guitar. Her instruments have a rare and special quality that is supremely resonant, yet surprisingly playable. It's been an amazing experience, and one that I would recommend to anyone."
